GSO 50mm superview or cheap 2inch 30mm UWA.

Looking for a GSO 50mm 2inch superview eyepiece, or big plossl. I am on a tight budget, so no expensive glass please. Would also consider one of those budget 30mm 80degree 2inch eyepieces you can buy on eBay.

Add to the mix the 42mm GSO Superview - it will actually give you the same TFOV as the 50mm. The 50mm won't show you any more as noth EPs are limited by their 2" barrel as to just how much of the sky can be seen. The o ly difference between the two is the AFOV of the 50mm will be much smaller than that of the 42mm.

However, this is only if you are trying to get the max TFOV from a low power EP. If upu have a particular niche reason for a 50mm, then for sure go the 50mm.

Also, a 30mm 82° EP will also give you just about the same TFOV as both the 42mm & 50mm, but with a larger AFOV. The 30mm Superview is only 68° and won't give you the widest TFOV.

Is there a particular scope that this EP is for? This also affects image quality in EP selectio .
