Barlow Focus

Hi all,

Want to start a little planetary this year & have a 150/1200 F8 refractor I want to use with my 224MC & a 3x barlow I have. The problem I'm facing is getting the damn thing to focus. Without the barlow I have to fully extend the focuser plus use an extension or the diagonal to reach focus with the 224MC. The travel of the focuser is just few millimetres too short. But with the barlow it's a total failure. Do I need even more distance to get focus? Everything is already a long way out the back of the scope.

Cheers,
Mark

Yes.

Also, you will probably need some distance before barlow.
