Macarthur astronomy society???

Hi All,

My first post and i was wondering of there are any iceinspace members who are also members of the macarthur astronomy society. i have just recently moved from Penrith to Mt Annan and would like to make contact with anybody who can fill me in on the goings on of the MAS.

its the last one for the year. we will be having Bishop Chris Toohey writes for sky and space mag, lectures at uni on astronomy coming in. not sure what he will be talking bout tho. they'll talk about the various viewing nights that have happened, umm... we have regular articles in the local newspaper... I really dont know beyond that. tea n' coffee... more talks?

Dave where did you get that info from ? Zane Hammond owns magellan observatory and as far as I know he works alone .

Do the club have anything to do with the two astrodomes at the campus? I helped to assemble them a few years ago.astroron

I realised my error but havent fixed it... Chris has an observatory out at parkes or sumfin... not sure. it was a great talk he did tho

the local rotary club (and/or the uni) owns them i think but i am not really sure... our club does help out with observing nights there tho i believe.
