Curious - are there many / any imaging collaboration platforms / groups?

Hi all,

I was curious - are there any platforms for contributing time and data on imaging targets - like the equivalent of gene folding. Something were each month any group or online society say lets image target X if you are in this hemisphere and we will combine and process the collective data across multiple diverse amateurs with similar gear?

Be and interesting way to build an international community a bit further if it were possible - being a small part of a bigger something!

Regards,

Matthew

Cloudynights forums have a target of the month in one of the subs, and I'd also try opening/looking for an existing thread on astrobin forums then organising with like minded individuals.

If you join Astrobiscuit's discord channel his whole community is essentially centred around group collab efforts - check out this vid where he announces the BAT - Big Amateur Telescope: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rCyC3_YIME go to 27:52.

We could start Matt - I noticed you are on the East Coast, I'm on the opposite side

I shoot Nebula at 620mm and 1960mm using NB Filters - too much light pollution for galaxies unfortunately.

Is our gear compatible?
