I'm a 70's love child with a streak of hippy. I found the pic ages ago and i've used it on facebook for years. It's just happy I'm also shy & don't like using pics of myself.

Now, you realise that, if we all change our avatars, this thread is going to become so confusing to anyone reading it!
Well then Erick, those of you who keep changing your avatar will need to update this thread as well, or you can get back to using a photo of yourselves.
As some have commented already, it's much more personal to see who you are corresponding with.
I think in the early days of the internet most users wanted to be anonymous, not sure if that applies anymore.
I'm fairly new to internet forums (maybe 3 years or so) so I didn't get into this anonymity thing with avatars. Come on everybody, come out of the closet.

I agree Richard that it is nice to see who(m) you are talking too.
I have used my avatar cause I like it, shows that I like the Simpsons, Like floating about ( not the in the way of Warrens recent post ...hehehe) and kinda shows a free spirit.... in a way....
Otherwise one can always look at the post "post a pic of yourself".......which I'm sure you already have.....

Thanks for the link to Warren's thread. Yes, like you I prefer Bart's style of floating.. There was a time when the Simpsons was the best thing on the telly.
Hence the brackets....Heheheheh its a bit of a safety net in case my grammmmmerrrrr is rong. I've never mastered it too (or is it to... hehehehe...just kiddink)

The Pic was done by my daughter to reflect me with my C9.25.
1) I do a mean Arnold impersonation and
2) I can be a bit naughty sometimes and the transition is a reminder not to get me mad
