CG4 God's Hand PCG 21338

Incredibly faint but very exotic! Located in the southern Puppis constellation, this cometary globule is more shaped like a cosmic monster about to devour the galaxy PCG 21338, and reminds me of a Dune Sand Worm! This is 18.5 hours with 15 min sub frames used. Processed in Pixinsight and taken with ASI 533 MC PRO with ASKAR V @600mm F7.5. Needs about another 100 hours of data lol (thanks Nick A for his original post!)

Nicely done! It's a target I've wanted to capture for a long time, but never quite got there. Looking at my hard disk, it seems I have 30 luminance images from last year and nothing more. Maybe next year...

Thanks! Considering that i used 15min subs with 80mm aperture - the frames looked like a faint smudge LOL. Needed 18 hours + with my OSC to get even this!

Thanks Dave. Maybe I'll upgrade to 200mm aperture and get a mono instead of slogging it out on 100hts!
