Handling two observatories simultaneously

Slightly OT, but funny nevertheless, the last thing I expected to buy was a second monitor for astrophotography.

I literally have to remind myself which hemisphere I am fiddling with.

cheers
Martin

Very funny...you're certainly a lucky man Martin

With all your relocations in recent times I'm surprised there aren't more labels on things

Thanks.

The bizarre thing is that the new monitor on the right, while of lower quality to the HP on the left, was still only $130 - I mean, why wouldnt you? and there really is no need to spend any more money than that - it is just for 'monitoring'

Well at least you have a full sized screen.

my imaging PC is just a normal ATX tower sitting under the telescope. While im out setting up and polar aligning i have a eeepc laptop (900mhz celron vintage) and when i decide its time to hang out in my bed to sleep i have it hooked into my mobile phone.

Like you say! it doesn't need to be good quality just to see things moving around!

Simple solution to remember the hemispheres... put one of them upside down!

Seriously though, that's a great set up you have there I think changing the colour schemes of the computers would make it much easier to distinguish at a glance, perhaps green/gold for Aus and red/blue/white for USA...?
