Lunar eclipse HDR processing

Here is my contribution to the images.
This is my first attempt at HDR processing.

Looking forward to the next eclipse in April 2015.

That's pretty cool Richard. Did you composite the two side shots or did your camera capture the whole dynamic range?

Hi Marc,

Each of the side shots is a HDR composite. The shot of totality is a single shot. The 3 images were then combined. All the images were taken with my old Canon 450D and Orion 80mm scope.

I like the natural look of the images as they look like what I saw through my binoculars in between exposures.

Awesome. Thanks for the tip. I too like it better like this. It's closer to the reality. It's given me ideas for my montages.
