M45

This is one I've had sitting in the drawer for several weeks, taken with the Sharpstar.
Reflections around the stars are from the IDAS D2 filter.

Plenty of nebulosity showing through there Tony, nice shot. M45 is such a beautiful star cluster with the wispy blue glowing around the stars. You probably don't need any filter on this one, I don't even bother using my modded camera for it either. Like the Witch Head nebula, the unmodded dslrs pick up these reflection nebulae fairly well.

That's a good point Mick. I have to use a filter with my d5600 as it's full spectrum, but I have a spare unmodified d5600 which I hadn't thought of using for these objects. I bought the second camera on clearance as a back up to the modified camera.

I've got back-ups for most things except autoguiding - another MGEN and I could run two rigs at once
