Snap!! I listened to some a couple of hours ago. Before that was Bigfoot and the Prehistoric Dogs - Prowess. I hadn't heard it before and it is very good; modern but mostly sounds like it could be from the 70's. Recently I also rediscovered, in my vinyls, Fischer - Z 'Red Skies Over Paradise'. It's one of those lost classics - songs like The Writer, Battalions of Strangers and the title track (about the H bombing of London as seen from Brighton) have been going round in my head for days.

I'm partial to Fischer Z, one of out local bands used to cover a lot of their stuff. Might have to dig out my CD.
After Doug mentioning Ricky Lee Jones on FB, I've been enjoying her Self titled album from 1979.

Listening to JJ online with some classic Mid 80's to 90's sounds. It is a history of the JJJ journey from inception to today.
Treaty by Yothu Yindi was on just a while back, certainly on of my favourites after 14 years in NE Arnhemland !

Oh god, what have you done!. Had forgotten about Fischer Z, soo many years, you prompted me to utube some songs, back then I played "so long" on my bass a thousand times for practice. And perfect day. I loved them. WHAT a nostalgia trip. Thank you

OK you talked me into it. I'm going to learn So Long. I just saw someone do it on YouTube and it's not too hard.

Last night I watched B.B. King live at Montreaux back in '93, when he was a sprightly 67 year old. Perhaps he was past his best then but still a class act.
Just listened to Pampered Menial by Pavlovs Dog and now Animal Notes by Crack the Sky. I put both in much the same category - basically 'so-so' bands that produced one classic album. Worth a listen every year or two.

Titanic Requiem - track 5 'sub-astris' (under the stars). Very evocative music well suited to deep sky pursuits I reckon.
By Robin Gibb and the royal Philharmonic.
