Caught the AR this afternoon, reasonable seeing conditions, some nice detail through a DS Lunt 60.

I did manage to eyeball AR 2778 this afternoon in white light, through a few holes in the scudding clouds and it is a big multi cored region, would love to get some white light and Ha images , if the clouds ever part for long enough.

The group of at least 7 spots is better defined today. Ah, this is more like it should be!

Things have certainly changed over the past week or so.
The addition of the new AR2779 just adds to the majic.
I hope everyone gets the chance to observe this latest activity.

The grouping of Sunspots is now near the edge and has sadly lost much of its luster, when using old-fashioned solar projection.

Would love to have a look Troppo but with 50 / 60 kmh winds and temps near 38 / 40 C outside I'll leave it to those of you in more benign weather. I certainly enjoy seeing everyone's images of the activity on Sol and am heartened that there does seem to more people with solar scopes, keeping an eye on developments , with images to boot.
