Conjunction Oct 7 - 3 planets and Moon

Sydney is clouded out but if you're lucky Mercury, Saturn and the Moon are within 5 degrees with Venus about 20 degrees above them.

Tomorrow the Moon will be slightly below Venus so there's another chance.

Here on the Sunshine Coast I had the camera out ready and waiting, glass of bubbly in hand after a hot day. Clouds rolled in right on cue. Pft.

The clouds parted just long enough for me to get a few shots.

I'm happy with the sky colour.

I got some great shots last night. Didn't realise how bright Mercury could get, my first naked eye sighting of it. I usually miss out unless someone posts these upcoming events here. Thanks.
