IC2944 - Running Chicken Nebula

I....still can't see the Chicken in here.

This is a 2 panel Mosaic taken over many nights in January/February/Early March between all the clouds; I threw out at least as much data as I kept.

I have a little under 11 hours on each panel, all taken with the 2600MM through a Takahashi FSQ-106ED and Antlia 3nm Filters. Full acquisition details and equipment can be found on the Astrobin Page.

Everything was stacked, stitched and processed in Pixinsight.

I definitely recommend looking at it up close on Astrobin; The Takahashi continues to surprise me with the amount of detail and clarity it can resolve.

C&C is always welcome.

Thanks for looking, and Clear skies!

Thanks Mike, I think i might need to go wider with my next rendition so i can fully capture the chicken. At the moment, it's still pretty vague to me.

Nice chicken

That’s a really nice image, but I think the chicken is here:

Nice image. But in terms of the chicken, I would say it's very much poetic licence!!

Josh
A lovely image
A sort of soft or subtle approach ? Definitely not over sharpened or deconvolved
Colour tones are excellent
Well done !!

That's a great version of the Chicken, Josh!
The high-res is quite incredible: deep and oh-so smooth, fabulous resolution & lovely colour balance.

I was going to post up my own version of IC 2944 (that is really another ED80 test image with a very modest amount of integration) but am now having second thoughts given how good this is.
