Some more Lunar Shots 21st Feb

A selection of shots taken on 21st Feb. Very stable/transparent sky but also a variable blanket of mid/high clouds. I had to adjust gain mid-capture on a few of these just to maintain a good histogram.

I came out with quite a mixed bag and included a few areas I've not really focussed on before. I particularly enjoyed scouring what remains of the crater wall of Sinus Iridium. There was quite a bit of detail on show and at high magnification through the eyepiece almost felt like I was looking straight at the wall as it rose out of the bay.

Sharp shots, Dave, especially Schiller.

Regarding the wrinkle ridges with no name: Of the 39 named Dorsa, none are near these which extend around crater Marius. Of interest though are the Marius Hills, a concentration of Lunar Domes, volcanic in origin, which are clustered here and a few can be seen in your picture although most are still beyond the terminator at this stage. I've attached a quick snap I took (well, OK, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter took it ) of the Hills from vertical.
