Jupiter 2016-12-23

After a night of heavy rain which gave us 92mm and some minor flooding in the town I was surprised to see some clear sky this morning. The seeing was poor with extreme dew falling like rain so happy to get anything at all.

Nice pics Phil. Is Jupiter close to the moon? I am guessing you took the pics in the early hours of the morning. As I don't have a telescope, could I get some half decent pics using a canon 7D mk ii, with a 400 lens with a 1x4 converter ?
Cheers Reverend.
