And so it begins...

Now Mummy and Daddy REALLY have thier hands full with Miss Almost-9 months!

Had to visit the throne room, and left bub alone (we have stair gates going DOWN, but none UP). I found Miss Viktoria like this... and she made it to the third stair before she noticed me.

She talks (says Dadda, Mumma and Sissis), stands by herself (and sits), ALMOST walks...

Just installed a gate going UP now

It won't be long till she wants the car keys! Kids create time compression, one day you wake up and there's some boy at the front door looking for your daughter.

If ever you wish for time to stand still it'll be when she just in school.
God I wish my kids were still kids. All in their 20s now.
New wife talks of kids. She has none and is much younger than me. I feel selfish to say no and selfish to be an old dad. Rock'n hard place.

Luckily our first - now 6 - didn't ever fall down stairs, until she turned 6...then skipping at the top of the stairs, and whamo... thankfully there is a 90° turn in the stairs, and she stopped only after about 2 metres

Miss Almost 9 months has Stuka divebombed out of her cot twice - head first!Glad we put pillows all around the floor! Still had to hurt!

I nick-named her Stuka from that point on.

I missed the childhood of No. 1 until she was 4, thanks to working 4 am to 9pm most days. I almost didn't know her in her infancy... she'd only see me on days off nd if she woke in the night.

This time, I have become Mr. Mum almost - wife working this time, me part-time when wife isn't at work. I know Stuka very well... truly Daddy's girl

Ref: Stuka,

My kids are living in various places around the World.
No 1. Son is South Asia manager for Apple in Singapore, mid 30's
No 2 Daughter is a rep for a company dealing in educational software, in Melbourne.
No. 3 Son is a captain pilot in the USA army flying Blackhawks in Europe. He just turned 30.

I get to see my grand kids on skype.

Cheers

Another six months or so, and you may have to consider getting her an IPad.
Cheers,

Joking Renato???!!! She has been using the android tablet to watch movies etc for over a month, knowing to swipe the screen to play the next one!!!! She even immitates Mummy, sitting up pretending to type on Mums laptop.

I predict this kid is going to be something special. Her sister is already QUITE the artist. (me, I am just a BS artist )

Ahhh! I can visualize it now:

Stuka was diligently pounding away on her father's word processor. She told him she was writing a story.
"What's it about?" he asked.
"I don't know," she replied. "I can't read."
(Stolen from I don't know where)

That's the trouble with kids nowadays - you start them off on something good value and functional like Android, but they all then want something "cool" and expensive like Apple stuff.
Cheers,
Renato
