A night at Mount Blackheath NSW

Hi all,

Thought I should post a couple photos from our recent trip out to Mount Blackheath last Thursday.

First shot is approx 4 hours of star trails. The bright object is the first quarter moon setting.

Second shot is a 2 image, vertical panorama of the Milky Way rising over Mount Blackheath.

Third shot is a 4 image panorama showing the moon setting, lighting up the valley belong, along with the southern Milky Way.

Much higher res versions of these images can be found on my Flickr Page here.

Feedback always appreciated and thanks for looking!

Cheers,

Jason

Thanks guys, glad you like them.

haha yeah that "dodgy geezer" came out of no where and just sat next to me for the shot!

Nice pano of Hargraves Wavy. The view across the valley there is incredible. Ed, yeah it took a while to remove the planes but I used the Clone Stamp Tool in PS to remove them.

Real nice shots Ed. Great shots of the paraglider. I really like your star trail image mate, that's really slick. You have framed it heaps better than I did, showing the landscape nicely as well. I can't believe how many planes you have in your one though, I only had to remove 4!

Nice work Ed. Can tell the moon was setting towards the end of the clip as the landscape and sky changed colour. Yeah one of those slider rails will be great to have, I've been thinking of making one or even just using an egg timer to make the camera pan.
