I have finally got the GSO 12" RC I have working well, collimation still needs a bit more tweaking I think, but this is the first real image out of the scope in the over 12 months that I have now had it. I intend adding much more to this but at this stage this is 2 hours of Luminance very roughly processed to see what was in the data after a bank of cloud decided to clear last night just as I was about to pull the pin on the night due to the cloud hanging around right where this was positioned.
In looking around for a potential target I stumbled across this one in the Sky X, it doesn't seem to be imaged that often even with larger scopes - it is small at 6.5 x 1.4" and faint.
Thanks Lee. I am going to have a play with the new collimation tool in the Sky X to see what it is saying. It looks fairly murky here at the moment so I might have a go at getting some of the colour tonight and see if the sky improves any later.
