Took some pics of the moon the other night with my Nikon Coolpix P900 camera and don't look half bad. The first pic was taken at F6.5, ISO400, 428mm FL & 1/200th sec. The second pic, F6.5, ISO450, 643mm FL & 125th sec. The camera was mounted on a tripod. The quality suffers a bit owing to downsizing for IIS limit. The P900 was a relatively cheap camera and takes great photos but doesn't take movies.
I have a P900 for work, it has done quite a few shots of the moon since I have had it. The only donwnside I have found to the camera is for car club stuff, it has "Tracking" focus but it does not cope at all well with moving cars.
Just a fun thing to do and the images do lose definition by reducing the file size. Pretty windy conditions here at the moment so still good images considering. More pics below.
