Turned out well Raymond. Stars look nice and round. How did you go polar aligning this little nevice? Your next challenge with this set up is to see if you can shoot with longer focal lengths! I like to push mine way beyond the recommended focal lengths just to see how close I have aligned to the SCP. They are fun to use and you can pick the whole rig up with one hand and carry it inside when you're finished! A bit different to your old 8 inch and Heq5 setup, hey?
I agree with the above comments, nice field there Raymo. See if you can do a solid hour of those 80 second exposures. You'll be amazed at what faint stuff comes out.
Also very glad to see you snapping again.
Best,

Mickoid, somebody in a recent thread said they used a Vixen Polarie Meter,
so I got one, and for now sat it on top of the tracker and used it to set the altitude. The compass on it is not that good, being difficult to get repeatability
of readings, so the azimuth is probably not as good as I'd like. The best I
could get for perfectly round stars at 30mm was 90 secs. More experimenting
necessary. I'll have to get a separate compass.
Cam,I was only experimenting, and the camera's battery expired, otherwise there would have been many more subs.
