I’m amazed how dedicated folk are in capturing images of our universe in ridiculously extreme conditions
I’ve been watching this guy from Sweden on his Northern Panorama YouTube site where he drives out into the northern part of Sweden ( Swedish Lapland’s)
completely alone and sets up in the snow where the temperatures plummet to -37C at night
He uses an EQ6-R pro , a 120mm refractor and a ZWOASI2600MC camera under Bortle 1 skies with ice hanging off his moustache
Incredible dedication !!!
Anyone else seen his channel ??
And I whinge about imaging in winter at +5C to +8C
They would say the same for us and our heat. It's all relative in many aspects. One of my mates in Germany takes pictures of goshawks and loves winter, where it gets down to minus 20 easily. To me, that's torture, but when I send him pictures of our temps hitting mid to high 40s, he thinks the same of us.
That said, I would probably brave that cold for Bortle 1 skies!!!
