Qld Govt is looking to build some new dams (and about time too!). Sorry Houghy, as if your new street lights weren't bad enough, Duckadang is about to be flooded...

"The first of the possible dams could be on the Upper Brisbane River at Linville, north of Wivenhoe and Somerset dams.

A 1991 study showed it would cost $140 million to build a new dam there."

On a happier note, the Village idiots that ran Duckadang in 2013 have moved on: http://www.campduckadang.com.au/inde...=61&Itemid=208

Hope the committee is taking to the new folk . I had a long chat with the Lions Club director of Duckadang who was disappointed by my tale of kitchen woes...

Account suspended. Guess someone didn't pay their bill.

I might shoot out for a night or two this year, will have to wait until time is closer to see what work is like though.

Hi Guys

Yes last years managers have moved on, and the committee has met with the new managers to sort out the problems from last year.

On our recent visit I was very pleased to find that things seemed to be much cleaner, I walked into McDonald House and the higher standard was noticeable. Lets hope it's a sign of things to come.

We spent a lot of time talking about the food with the new managers. They got the message loud and clear that last year was unacceptable. I'm sure it will be much better this year, especially the Astrofeast.

Only a couple of days now to registrations open... I can't wait!
