The Bay of Rainbows on the Terminator.

Hi. It was good to set up and do some Lunar imaging again last night. It was quite windy and the seeing conditions (or tube currents) :rolls eyes: sometimes blurred the Moon so much, any detail was lost but I was happy to get some fleeting moments of detail.
Here is The Bay of Rainbows on the Terminator and happens to be the Chang'e 3's landing site.

1000 frames stacked in AS!2.
This is the first imaging run on the Moon since last years Supermoon Mosiac and also the first time for the GSO 8"f4/ASI120MM combo.
Captured with Sharpcap.

The Mare Imbrium is a dominating feature of the image. The distinctive semi-circle is Sinus Iridium (the so-called "Bay Of Rainbows"), and last night it happened to be sitting right on the Terminator.
I like the shadows cast from Promontorium Laplace (the protruding part of the Montes Jura range) and how they stretch across the bay as night turns to day on the surface of the Moon.
