Hi Brian,

What produces the circle and crosshairs in the first image ? Is that a commercially-available reticle eyepiece ? I could use something similar...

thanks - just curious to know what it was. It's a rare beastie.
I'm looking for a reticule that ideally has a smallish circle in the centre and no cross hairs.

Not really - TAL (well, Novosibirsk Optical Company do) still make them, and available in Europe and USA. Still same old reticle.

it has 24 divisions - looks like a polar finder reticle.

you can make your own out of perspex.
