ZWO EAF help needed

I purchased an EAF box directly from ZWO and I don't seem to be able to make it work.
After plugging it into my laptop and powering it up, it successfully self installed the driver, but when I want to use it with Sharpcap 3.2, it doesn't show up on the hardware list.
The same when I try if with Ascom diagnostics.
Same with a fresh version of Sharpcap on a PC.

What am I missing? Tried all sort of searches that led me nowhere.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Try using the asistudio application and see if you can control the focuser from within that. It's not bad, though is your camera an asi one?

The other thing is have you installed the ascom driver, you should be able to use that under ascom control?

Thanks David,

Problem solved. My understanding was that one does not need an ASCOM driver with Sharpcap, but eventually I found a well hidden ASCOM driver for EAF on the ZWO site, and after that Sharpcap was able to find the device. All good.
