Cloud appreciation?

Anyone here into cloud appreciation?

I'm generally not a fan but found this interesting. The only clouds I am interested in are the ones that produce a sensible amount of rain.

Saw the hole this afternoon from the Latrobe Valley. Certainly unusual, and great pictures of it via your link Michael.

Wow. That's awesome.

I do enjoy watching the clouds build up ahead of a thunderstorm.

I always appreciate good or interesting clouds and weather, but weeks of grey stratus or stratocumulus can #@$* right off, especially over New Moon!

lol I haven't registered there..... probably should though "The Stratocrapulus hate thread" and "Maritime climates with endless stratojunk are a fate worse than death". That should stir the bullant nest.

Their "manifesto" is pretty funny. Surely there has to be at least one astronomer that trolled these cloud foamers.

this! I do love cumulus and cumulonimbus, but weeks of stratus and stratocrapulus gives me the s#!ts. Ofcourse, Melbourne has a fatal surplus of the latter while we get less thunderstorms than clear skies. Cold wet wintry stratojunk outside atm, right on summer's doorstep. Feels like the UK in February out there. Gotta love this maritime puke factory.
