Hi Greg,
Another interesting field of Galaxies, a great shot. What is the IC/NGC of that Central Galaxy? I think I would like to have a go at that one myself and add it to my collection.
Cheers
Peter

Hi Peter,
I did a plate solve and Sky X didn't label it. Tried Astrobin but no images there.
So I don't know.
Greg.

Those two galaxies which show the most detail are well processed nicely Greg.

Hi Peter
The spiral in the middle is NGC4622.

Thanks Andy. There are several of these types of galaxy groupings.

A lovely image Greg. Fine acquisition and skillful processing.
It always amazes how much one galaxy can differ from the next, even before they start interacting.

A very impressive result. A really clean image with no processing artefacts to speak of. The CDK is really showing some class there.
Lost of faint fuzzies and the centre spiral is a delight.
Nice one

Thanks Peter. I tried to keep the processing more minimalist as I think that some of my processing is too involved and simpler is better.
Greg.

Excellent, that's a wild group of galaxies hanging out together. That central spiral galaxy is mesmerising !!
A question. Do you do much sharpening with deconvolution (or whatever) to get it like that? Or is that what your raw data produces

Great distant galaxy image Greg, what the CDK17 was designed to do That mosquito coil galaxy has caught my attention a few times when I have been sifting for possible targets too.
Nice job

No sharpening at all. In fact the whole image has minimal processing. No Decon. I tend not to use Decon that much anyway as its a bit of a rough technique and attacks stars easily.
Attention on the basics, good acquisition, clear dark skies and these skies were particularly transparent probably after windy days earlier.
That's what the downloads look like.

Cheers Mike. These galaxy groupings always make for an interesting image.
I agree this is definitely CDK territory.
Greg.

Thanks Tim.
That little central spiral galaxy might make a nice target for your big scope.
