CCD for Stellarvue SVQ100-3FT

Hi - I want to get Moravian Instruments G2-8300 CCD camera for my Stellarvue SVQ100-3FT Astrograph.

The scope is 100 mm clear aperture, 580 mm focal length (f-5.80), air spaced four element apochromat using a Hoya FCD100 second element. Optimized for full frame imaging.

Is this a right camera for it? Is there another Marovian camera I should get? I don't want any other brand.

Please Note: I accidentally made thread on this in beginners forum which I have requested to be deleted.

If the telescope is optimised for a full frame and if funds permit, why not try the G3-16200? It will give similar number of arcseconds per pixel as the G2-8300, will have higher QE and probably have lower read noise and it will cover a significant larger FOV.

Good choice. The KAF16200 is the new KAF8300 so to speak.
A high performing sensor with a nice field of view.

Greg.
