Meade 10inch LX200 Classic - Mid 2001 (last production run before the change to GPS).

This particular unit has been tuned for CCD imaging (ie, 5 - 7 arc seconds PE as measured by PemPro - can supply stats) and is optically and mechanically excellent.

The complete unit includes the Meade field tripod, 26mm Plossl eyepiece and I'll throw in a ScopeSaver mounting plate.

Price: $3,750

SuperWedge available for an additional $450

Complete set of Meade Super Plossl eyepieces (8 in all) an additional $500

The unit is in excellent condition. I guess this forum is not well frequented by WA observers - I guess I'll have to advertise locally a little more seriously.

I think I have met him. I am a Perth guy also and I bought a Peterson eyeopener off a Perth guy who had a really nice 10" Classic for sale. Assuming that is the guy the scope was in excellent condition.
Its a bit hard to move good gear over here given the numbers of users versus Melbourne or Sydney. My thoughts are that it is always better to hear about gear for sale as I know I am always chasing something and would appreciate a local version of Astromart. No camplaints about that service, I love it but sometimes I would like to buy locally (and therefore get it in less than 8 weeks).
