Dew heater polarity

Are the RCA jack dew heaters usually centre positive?

Just finishing up a controller build and figured i should ask if it actually matters with the straps the polarity (I wouldn't think it mattered). I have been joing all my RCA females to the potentiometer with the female centre positive, following usual convention.

Thanks

Polarity doesn't matter for the heater strips. They are just a long resistor.

That's what I thought - thanks Rick. I will just stick to centre + anyway, as I made the lightbox centre + too.
