Yeah I got a little paranoid with clipping during the colour combine because I have half FITS and half TIFFs but you're right. I could maybe shave a little on the black point.

I did a straight color combine 1:1:1 and that's what came up. I did a few versions (blue/orange/brown with white stars, etc...) but in the end I like this one. It has the right light, star profiles and details.
