Which version?

They had two versions of that song, a milder version (white album) and a heavier version (single). I like the heavier version.

Right now I am listening to Battle of Tyr/Odin's Court/Valhalla by Black Sabbath. Awesome songs.

Single version from Past Masters CD2. I like the heavier version much better too!

Peter,

Forgetting the unforgetable "Revolution 9" off the White Album, do you have the single of Revolution on 45rpm vinyl along with the album on vinyl to compare the two?

I have both Vinyl and CD. The single version (heavy version) of Revolution is on the Past Masters Volume Two in the Beatles Collection. The heavy version was never released on any other album other than Past Masters that comes with the Beatles collection. It was only ever released as a single on 45rpm vinyl. The White Album Revolution is an alternate edit.

The White Album I think was their best.

Cheers Peter

Hi Pat,
In case you have not heard him, Geoff Achison is a great listen in a similar vein.
Greg.

One of my favourite bands, REM, of course... "it's the end of the world as we know it ... and I feel fine!"

And a stunning clear night in Melbourne too
