Would this tripod work?

Hello,

I was looking at this mini flexible tripod and suddenly had an idea but I am not sure it would work.

Basically I was thinking because my telescope has an extensible tube would I be able to attach the mini flexible tripod with my point-and shoot camera to the extension rods or would it be too heavy? Also would there be unwanted reflections on the mirrors?
I am very skeptical, but I thought I would ask just to be sure... Thanks!

I think that you could get it to work after a fashion, but that a readily
available camera support bracket that attaches to the focuser's eyepiece holder would be a much better idea, as it is adjustable so that you can line the camera up accurately. [And they're cheap].

Thanks, yes, I plan to buy a camera support bracket too later on.
I'll give the tripod a go too though I think. I can use it in all sorts of situations.

Some time ago I saw a Celestron support bracket on Amazon that was incredibly cheap (1/4 of the price it costs here!) but it was the last one and they didn't ship to Australia anyway. The Seben one is cheap. And the Chinese ones are even cheaper (not sure how good they are though).

I've got a Seben one that I used to use. It did the job.
