I'll kick things off.....
Took the new refractor out to view the moon. It would appear I was spending too much time, thinking about the tripod setup.
I aimed in the general vacinity of the moon and tried moving the scope to find it...
I had found it easily the night before...
I tried going up, I tried going down, I tried left then right. I even tried diagonals. Then all at once...!!!
After 3omins I had given up.... Totally furious with myself, that I couldn't find a giant ball of light...
Swearing a tad under my breath, I packed up my gear (with a fair bit of force) and tracked it all back inside.... The swearing consisted of something along the lines of, "If it is this hard, I'm not going to ^%$# try again".
After returning inside, and throwing everything in a corner, I went to look for my scopes lens cap to return it too it...
After 15 mins of looking for the cap, I realised it was on the scope.
You would have thought, I would have noticed there were no stars out... ROFLOL
Needless to say, I haven't made that mistake again...
