Hi guys, after three attempts of getting some good data of the Sea Gull nebula, and still no satisfaction i have decided to do something I would never do because i value my scope and mount so much.

However, no more small talk, I have it, the scope, and guider running as we speak, and i have set the lappey to do 35 exposures at 6 minutes each at 400 ISO, and am going to leave it do it's stuff until 4 am all on it's own.

Oh dear, what have i done.

id check it every 1/2 hr or so if you lose the guidestar ...... ooops

Gee Mike, you would not believe it, just went out to have a look, yep clouds from the South West, only fluffy stuff but that is not good,

always the way i hate it when you exposure is 30min long and you get to 29min with 1min left and the clouds roll threw the shot.

Well that plan didn't work, got in couple of shots and that was it, clouded out, so I wait for a while, no clear skies at all, close up the observatory, turn of the power etc, and then head inside, all is clear again again.

cant win, so bugger it just went to bed, will have a go again tonight.

I usually let mine go unattended with a 2 hour run..sometimes I even fall asleep
But once the circuit breaker went off with only 2 frames taken!...grrr
