Nah, can't lift them with a drone nor have a way to control them.
But I'm fascinated by them, amazing 'wavelengths'.

Happy days the materials just now arrived to build my mini observatory..4 ft x 4 ft x 4ft...got to try and get it all up the stairs now... and must put the mount back to gether after a late pull down last night.
I like astronomy as it presents many challenges just to set up...
Got some black grout thought the pier would look nice in black cement.

Photography, faceting, workshop and car restoring though that's getting too expensive.

Any readers into the above activities, or have noted any other narrow interests (not talking about drinking beer or following sport!) that other amateurs often pursue?

Employing a very broad brush "Hobbies that often co-exist with Astronomy". I would wager within any Astro group, there will be a sailor, angler, bushwalker all of whom have enjoyed a dark sky.
I believe any activity that gets you under a dark sky at night will inevitably lead you into Astro stuff.

Off road adventure riding on my heavily modified DR 650. About to head off on a 4000 km round trip. Should be fun. Taking a pair of binos with me.

Martin, you forgot to mention "collecting telescopes". That's a mighty list you have there
