Hands free night lighting

Tired of having a white light blinding me, or holding a torch in my teeth i spent $15.00 and bought a 10m redlight rope from one of those 2dollar type shops (everyones flogging them at this time of year).
Works a treat for an observatory, no more fumbling around while you setup yourself for the evening tripping over cables, not too bright, night vision intact, best of all its cheap.
i will put a switch on the wall next to computer to turn it on and off.

yep life is good ........AL

That looks pretty cool, can see how that would do the job quite nicely, but dose it have any effect on imaging.

We use one at the SVAA clubroom. Our Clubroom is upstairs and we need it so people can get up and down the outside staircase without falling. Doesn't effect the viewing field at all.
