Hi all,
I received new lenses ordered a few weeks ago yesterday and when trying them in daylight saw some strange small hair looking half moons all over the lenses. I've attached a picture out of focus as it makes it quite clear when zooming in.
I've tried them out last night with my small scope (70mm f/10) on nebulae, clusters and double stars and it looks fine but I'm concerned that this may not be fine when I try them on my much bigger 16'' f/4.5. That scope is currently stored elsewhere in boxes until I can get it to my shed which is why I'm unable to try it out.
My questions are:
- will the bigger scope make these more visible even at night due to increased brightness
- if the bigger scope will make it more obvious, would you recommend trying to clean them myself or would you return them
Thanks in advance for any input.
Matt
