Thursday night in Sydney

Hi to all long suffering Sydney siders.

Looks like Thursday night will be clear in Sydney.
Hard to believe. It had to be clear on one night, eventually.
Fingers crossed etc.

Greg

I hope you know that by saying something about it, you've just jinxed it
So if it clouds over, we know where you live! (okay we don't, but still.... don't jinx it )

Thursday seems ok. But pretty fast wind up high so expect some twinkling stars.

7-timer has seeing pretty average (ties in with the high altitude wind), but transparency looking pretty good.

And as expected the forecast has changed. Clouds will be rolling in about 2am.

Good sky tonight. Still waiting on a guide cam. But mostly worked out the manual drift alignment method this time around.

Now up to 3 minute subs. So much better than my last efforts. Though i kind of loose out that 10 minute images starts saturating my camera due to all the sky glow

Well I had a mixed night. Skies were clear so yeah, guiding finally below 1 RMS but autofocus failed after meridian flip.....grrrr.

Managed to get 2hrs on Eta Carina, so going through the subs now. Look pretty good.

Looking forward to seeing pictures from you all

I had a late night meeting with one of our overseas offices which stopped me getting out

Hoping Saturday night will be okay. It's been over a month since last I got out shooting.
