it certainly is a big un!
I think that's understated

I just got some images, before the clouds scudded through. It's impressive!

With the ED80 and LS60F I usually capture at 1/250s or 1/312s but the plague around the big spot is so bright I had to drop it to 1/370s to not clip it!

After reading this thread this morning I managed to take a couple of pics with my NexImage (and a solar filter of course) before clouds marched in. I used it for the sun for the first time and was happy to see it works well. I enjoyed the big spot for the short time I was able to see it.

A couple of rubbish A-focal pics of AR2192 at 7.30 AM,it started to get very warm so I had to get the rock weather station out!!! If the rock is hot it's time to cover the motor housing, If the rock is wet it's raining, If the rock is on the ground it's too windy....someone made a lot of money selling the ROCK WEATHER STATION 40 odd years ago!!!

OZ, It's a Lunt LS 60 THa Solar Scope with B600 diagonal. A better pic of AR2192. It looked great viewing through the eye-piece and 3D with binoviewers. Luckily I set up early to try and video the space station crossing the sun otherwise I would have missed this event.cheers.

Oh, a true solar scope. I think I will get one too one day.
Some days are cloudy, but the sun is up there every day and it's fun to watch I think.
PS: I have heard there is now also a special eyepiece to view the sun that works like a solar scope??

Hi John,

....someone made a lot of money selling the ROCK WEATHER STATION 40 odd years ago!!!

That did take off until people realised they could make their own. The rock never wears out.

I'm enjoying the images that members have posted. Thanks for sharing Ya' all.
