Hi Folks,
This is right next to the Lagoon Nebulae and it really is fascinating indeed, with the new QHY168C CMOS Camera it really brings out a lot of data, very impressed with the camera.
120 Second subs with total subs 94 exposures
Temperature was -20C as the outside temperature was 15c, Camera holds the temperature very stable and only working at 45%.
100 Dark frames taken
No Bias taken
30 flat frames with Median at 20,000 ADU
Binned 1 X 1
Image taken thru Hyperstar on Celestron 9.25 HD edge
I used the RGGB setting in DSS. No noise reduction in DSS used
Gain at 13 and offset at 10.
Unfortunately the Lock nuts on the HD telescope serve little purpose as once I tighten them they seem to place the mirror more out of collimation. It also seems I lost some focus a little during the night, not sure how that happened and also the Hyperstar needs collimating as the stars are not round across the entire image. something I have yet to try and correct & quite nervous attempting but it seems I have to do it at some point.
Hope you like it
