Eagle from SPSP

Hi all - another of my images from SPSP - the Eagle Nebula (M16).

Again through the North Group ED102 and modified Pentax K-5 IIS combo.
10 x 5 min guided subs at ISO 400. This is maybe a 75% crop of the original frame.

t's a bit frustrating getting out under dark skies only a few times a year but you have to make the most of it. Comments & advice welcome as always.

Really nice Pete, good to see it in normal colour and not just narrowband (of which I am a big culprit).

Lovely result Pete, for a quicky you have to be happy with that? The stars look a bit hard edged so working on that might improve the aesthetics but otherwise, great job

Thanks Brad. If it wasn't for all your help and support over the last few years I'd have never gotten this far.

Thanks Colin. Narrowband sure has its place and I think often requires a more mature understanding to fully appreciate its intricacies. Both narrowband and wideband have their place I feel.

Thanks Mike - this "quicky" is pretty much my longest capture yet.

Totally agree with you about the stars. Softening them yet maintaining their colour is a challenge to my processing skills at this stage but I'll see what I can do.
