Eta from discontinued work.

I started gathering data on Eta Carinae.. Subs of 2 minutes via the Askar set up..Luminance 15 subs, Red 11 subs, HA 40 subs and 24 O11.

As I had not dithered I was going to throw them out and start over but as it was cloudy tonight and I decided not to go out I thought I would see what I could put together with the little data thyat I had gathered.. also no flats etc.

I used Startools but sparingly and did not adjust any settings...

AND I now post my result which I feel is way better than my first attempt with the Chicken...

Those Askar refractors are excellent scopes from the images I’ve seen in the past year and yours is no different.
For only a hand full of various frames this is very promising
Don’t throw Un dithered subs away , you can add dithered subs later to the stack which will still reduce fixed pattern noise , dark noise etc…
Well done !!

Thanks Martin...why didn't I think of that

The Askar has no reducer and is 1000 mm fl but has no problem gathering light...in fact at 2 minutes stuff was getting blown out with one batch of subs..cant tell you which ones...and the OAG rarely plays up . . I am very happy with the guiding.

You should get yourself an Askar I think would would enjoy running a refractor.

Im loving my Newts too much but a quality refractor will be my wind down scope of choice in my later years.

Well right now I am sitting in a comfortable chair having my first chemotherapy session ....so getting out and meeting people and fighting for just some more life tickets....I am just so very lucky to have these little reminders that life is precious and that one should not waste a single moment with worry, hate, envy, fear or anything that makes you not appreciate the day you now enjoy.

I hope you and yours are well and doing fine.

A fantastic day..Sandy drove me in and pushed me where I had to go in my wheel chair...Folk probably don't appreciate the gift they enjoy just being able to walk freely. The walking today would have been near impossible for me.

But it all went well..got set up to go straight into hospital if that is needed..something that has been unnecessarily worrying me..but I can in effect take a short holiday with catering

I will build on the subs I have with dithering on all the new subs that I do...actually very excited about completing this image cause I think I have enough knowledge to get a decent result..but whatever..

AND just feel as I will win this battle with the cancer but I do hope Mr Placebo gets involved...it can't hurt
