NGC 2359 Thor's Helmet (Narrowband)

Hi all - thought I would image the Helmet for the first time!
This is 2 hours Ha,Oiii,Sii 40:40:40 x 10 min each.
The conditions were perfect and the clouds stayed off so I was very happy with the weather last night!

I will possibly add some LRGB if conditions stay good.

Comments Welcomed

Scope 8 inch Newtonian
Camera Atik 314L+ at -7.5deg (No flats, darks or bias taken)

Sweet! good resolution and detail. I presume you're using the Hubble palette - loads of OIII signal and nicely processed.

Regards
Keith

Beautiful image of a beautiful object, I have fond memories of seeing this object in my old Baffled 8" f7 Newtonian scope. I love the colour represented here, really a striking image.

Thanks, the Sony chip with cooling works pretty well. Atik have good electronicsin my opinion. No calibration done on this image at all!

What a corker!
(why don't we have an emoticon for clapping hands?!)

Most people seem to comment on the faintness of this one, but that is a wonderfully striking image. Congrats!
