continuing the luny tradition - mad may

its almost full moon , the difference between 96 percent and 98 percent is that i have to process two halves and stick them together as it doesn't fit in the frame of view of the scope and camera. didn't do a great job of that and the image is rubbish - been a very long time since i did this. so we have may the 5th and may the 6th

If you have a shot from every night you should make a little time lapse of the all the phases.

You've posted some wonderful moon images and if it's only a couple of days, it may be worth winging it in Photoshop or video editing by interpolating from images either side of the night missed ± some smoothing gradient to feather out on the dark edge.

If it were me I would certainly try it in a video editing package with a 50/50 dissolve between the images either side of the missing night/s as a possible "easy" solution. With say 1/2 second per image that would make a nice but adequately brief 15 second video of the month's moon phases and probably not make the the "interpolated" images seem that obvious. Of course there's no guarantee that exposure/brightness wouldn't also need to be played with depending on your initial image parameters and moon position in the sky.

Best

David, may I ask you why are your moon shots back to front (mirror imaged)?
My brain nearly locks up when I look at them.

I know and I deliberately leave it that way so I know my images. You are one of only a few who have noticed
