I am after another from this source and it is a little bigger again and of course a aby version..a neat little knife in both cases.
I should have grabbed it but the timber in the handle was not as I would like it..but as an example if its there next time I go into that shopp I will get it.
Its is functional great to slice bread and it wont get used for anything worse.
Its a curiosity ..its got a little stand I dont like ornaments but its ok.
A couple would be great.

If it's not a problem you'll have to let me know where you get them from because the boy as he says "needs one"
Needs one could mean anything ...is he into unsliced bread I wonder.
If for defence I recomend a gladious only a short shord but perhaps the best weapon for casual street fights.
The romans killed so many people with that sword actually must search and see how many.

Don't ever tell a police officer the knife is for self defense that is illegal and will get you arrested, a knife for slicing bread is ok.

Indeed. One of my mates has a full Roman Centurion's costume, including gladious (blunted for safety) and shield. He reckons the romans basically wrote the book for modern riot police - except that they were allowed to stab protesters. Although I much prefer the look and feel of the 'canopener' (I've forgotten its real name but it was used against armored knights) I have to admit that the gladious would be much more useful for close combat or in confined spaces - I've nearly taken out a few bit of furniture swinging the big one in his house.
These days I think you can have one for Angling and Hunting in your car..Someone here should know for sure.
bigjoe.
Yes you can legally have one for any reason just not self defense, but our youth keep saying its for protection and are getting charged, instead of "ohh thats just my fishing knife". A lad here recently was found with a swiss army knife in his car but because he couldn't think of a lawful excuse for having it he was charged with having a knife in public. If he said it was his can opener or screwdriver he would have been fine. The letter of the law is an ass sometimes
"But Officer, I only use my gladius for slicing watermelons!"
Yes and thats whete they are fun.
My daughter had a great time with half a dozen paddy mellons and my sharp gladious.
She liked the sword so much that I gave it to her.
She is a good girl and likes collecting knives.

Saw lots of these while journeying along the Stuart Hwy years ago, thought how cool is that & collected a heap for a refreshing feast. They were disgusting. The melons not the marsupial.
