ST2000mx - horizontal bands

Help!!!

I just re-connected my ST2000 after a month or two off imaging with it. Now all my frames have nasty horizontal bands and lines in them. It looks like noise. I have tried different usb cables - including a bench test with just the 2k connected direct to the laptop. I have reloaded the drivers/rebooted etc etc. All to no avail. Attached is an example of what I am seeing. Any ideas?

That looks like read out interference. Do you have anything else new plugged? Guider, power? Try with new cables.

Could be hardware (PC) interrupts or a dodgy DA board in the St2k. I'd try a different PC.... If it still shows there, then sorry, looks like it has to go back to SBIG.

Nope I tried all that - happens even with a single cable direct to the laptop and no other devices present.

Yup I did think maybe Windoze 7 was doing some odd stuff but cannot see anything amiss. Will try another PC.
