Ngc1566

An hour's imaging of this pretty spiral galaxy in Dorado. Taken at the end of the imaging sessions that gave me my Horsehead picture, when gibbous moonrise illuminated some thin clouds in otherwise good skies.

Not really intended to be a great image, with only 12 moonlit 5-minute frames, but I thought I'd share it anyway! If nothing else, I'm happy with the new scope's working on the mount
