Replacing Lightbridge Mirror - Adhesive?

Hi All. I apologise if this has been discussed but I can't find a reference anywhere.

I am about to replace the mirror in my 12"LightBridge as part of a restoration process. I obviously need to re-secure the mirror to the mirror cell and am hoping to get some advise on suitable methods.

1. Is there a suitable double sided tape to use. I have read a little about using silicon rubber.
2. Is repositioning the mirror back on the cell precisely where the original was as crucial as I assume it is?

I would appreciate any constructing advice.

Thanks in advance.

Does the cell not have edge support that will realign things when you put the mirror back in ?

My 10" LB has 3 x retaining blocks that hold the Mirror in place.
Each ' block ' is secured to the ' cell ' by 2 long screws, thus holding the Mirror in place.
No Silicone anywhere... !!

If it's a12 incher it may be siliconed in place. Tried to remove a friends mirror years ago from its cell of a 12 inch lightbridge for cleaning. Gave up and cleaned it in its cell.
