Multiple ASiair setups

I have two ASIair Plus devices mounted on their own scopes. Occasionally - like when we actually have a clear moonless night - I like to run the two scopes (on their own mounts) similtaneously.

However, I am finding that the ASIairs conflict. One is on an AM5 and the other an EQ6R EQMOD mount. I use two separate tablets - one each - but on the EQMOD one, the ASIair app will not recognise the EQMOD device.

Anyone else having this issue?

I often - well when more than one weather forecasting site agrees on the weather - run two rigs. An EQ6 and a Star Adventurer - EQMOD on both -with ASIAIR and ASIAIR mini respectively.

Use an iPad for one and my phone for the other.

So far no problems at all.

Hi Peter,
From the provided info it seems your Asiairs are running concurrently at two separate rigs. The issue you described is with one of the rigs in particular where the Asiair can't see/communicate with the EQ6-R mount. Is this correct? Are both the Asiairs physically and logically separate with the common point being they are connected to your home Wifi network?

A few quick troubleshooting questions:
- Has this setup worked before? If so, have any changes been made since then?
- Have you tried with another EQMod cable?
- If you connect your mount with the EQMod cable directly to your PC, does the PC see and can control the mount?
- Have you tried swapping the Asisirs to see if the second one can communicate with the mount?
- Do you have a screenshot of the error you see?
- Re: your tablets - are they up to date both the OS and the Asiair app?

Hello Ronson. Your suggestions are very sound and I thank you for them.

As it happened, I did change EQMOD cables on the EQ6R and it worked. Problem solved.

Thank you once again.

I run my ASIAIR on EQMod and find that I can not connect to it unless my iPhone is in airplane mode. It will detect and connect to the ASIAIR wifi but not to the device untill in airplane mode.
